Family-Owned LifeSource Water Systems Thanks the Medical Team at Huntington Hospital With Donation of N95 Masks

LifeSource Water Systems Donated 2,000 N95 Masks to Huntington Hospital in Pasadena

When COVID-19 began to make its presence known in Pasadena and media outlets repeatedly shared the alarming news that personal protection equipment was in short supply for healthcare workers, the owners of LifeSource Water Systems knew they had to do something to help their neighbors around the corner at Huntington Hospital. Last week, the company delivered 2,000 N95 masks to show its support to those at the site who are on the front lines in the fight against the virus.

Founded in 1984, LifeSource Water Systems is a second-generation family-owned and operated business, located on Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena. Today, it is run by the founder’s daughter, son and son-in-law. The company produced America’s first salt-free whole-house water system and continues to be an innovator in its field by manufacturing and distributing high-quality water filtration and conditioning products.

“Huntington Hospital is about a four-minute walk from our front door so we consider them part of our extended family, much as we do our customers. When we heard that face masks were in short supply, we knew we wanted to help,” said Cherie Harris, president, LifeSource Water Systems. “Donating these masks is our simple way of showing we care and thanking them for all they do for Pasadena residents.”

“We are grateful to our philanthropic partners at LifeSource Water Systems for their thoughtful donation of masks for our caregivers. Their generosity will help ensure that local patients receive the most advanced health care, whenever it is needed,” said Jane Haderlein, senior vice president, philanthropy & public relations, Huntington Hospital.

LifeSource Water Systems are installed at the water main so that every drop of water that flows through the customer’s home is filtered to eliminate chlorine, chloramines and dirt while reducing hard-water scale build-up on pipes and appliances. Because the systems are salt-free, they require no maintenance and are eco-friendly – meaning home wastewater can be recycled and reused for irrigation by the city.

LifeSource Water Systems’ team provides continuous support to customers throughout the lifecycle of their water system to keep their water tasting great. All LifeSource products are manufactured and distributed in the United States and are tested in laboratories that meet standards set by the National  Sanitation Foundation International and American National Standard Institute.
